A wordpress site was experiencing some security issues with rogue text being injected into blog posts and homepage area. Task was to secure the site and clear out any infected files. This involved rebuilding the entire database table by table, re building the theme and re-installing the plugins one by one. The actual cause was not obvious but most likely the ‘Elementor’ plugin which was not kept up-to-date.
